Bob Minter joined Colonial Real Estate, Inc. in 2006 after an extraordinary career in the aviation industry that spanned more than 40 years. He moved to Sevierville in 2001 to develop and launch the Tennessee Museum of Aviation and brought with him the Tennessee Aviation Hall of Fame, which he founded in the mid-nineties. He retired as President and Executive Director of the museum at the end of 2005.
A native East Tennessean, originally from Kingsport, Bob brings to his career commitment to real estate an extensive, successful background in marketing, management, sales and governmental relations. He is very active and involved in community affairs and was elected to the Board of Directors of the Sevierville Chamber of Commerce in 2004. He now serves on the Chamber's Executive Committee. He also serves on the Board of the Sevierville Lodging Association.
A dedicated family man, Bob and his wife Karin (formerly of Kings Lynn,
England) have five grown children and eight grand children. They are proud to have raised two of their granddaughters themselves. Both attend local schools.
Raised an East Tennessean with a family cabin in the Smokies most of his life, Bob Minter knows a lot about Tennessee and about this region. His energy and enthusiasm are contagious and his personal and professional acumen are focused upon his client's best interests.
