I was born in Washington state in a little town called Ritzville which is near Olympia. I then spent my pre-school years living in northern Minnesota and most of it I do not remember. I spent most of my childhood in Portland, Oregon. I liked living in the big city and lived in a wonderful neighborhood in N.E. Portland where my father built a house. My parents and I still visited Minnesota once per year or once every two years because that is where the majority of the relatives lived. We moved back to Minnesota when I was in Middle School.
Minnesota is where I lived for more than 20 years. It is where I graduated from High School, got married, and had children. I attended the University of Minnesota, Duluth and graduated. I spent my first two years teaching in McAllen, Texas and finished my teaching career in South Carolina until I decided to follow my heart to the Great Smoky Mountains. I had thought about selling real estate before and now was my chance. They say that “Home is where the heart is,” so whether or not I spend my last days in the Smoky Mountains, my heart will always be in the Smokies!
